Thermo-Tec „Hi-Heat Coating“ har utvecklats för att ge bearbetade termoband ett extra skydd och samtidigt förbättra utseendet genom färgningen. Den högtemperaturbeständiga ”Hi-Heat Coating” skyddar termobandet mot mekaniska påfrestningar. Speciella hartser och bindemedel täpper till ”porer” och ”övergångar” i banden och minimerar därmed även inträngningen av skadliga vätskor och ämnen. Den tål direkta, ihållande temperaturer upp till ca 1100 °C.
